<span>Dr. Bhaskar Ganguly earned his B.V.Sc. &amp; A.H. and M.V.Sc., in Animal Biotechnology, from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (G.B.P.U.A. &amp; T.), India. His scholastic and research achievements include the Best Student of the Batch Award, Winner of All India Professional Veterinary Quiz, and Uttarakhand State Council for Science and Technology (UCOST) - Young Scientist Award in Veterinary and Animal Sciences. He was one of the six national finalists for the Young Scientist Award in Animal, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences at the Centenary Indian Science Congress. He has been in receipt of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) JRF and Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Senior Research Fellowship. His research interests focus on phytotherapeutic alternatives for Infectious Bursal Disease of poultry. Different aspects of animal cell culture and the use of bioinformatic tools for studying novel proteins also find a place among his varied research interests. He is an avid writer and has to his credit a number of contributed chapters, peer-reviewed research papers, one book, Vetcare Essay Award, Dabur Ayurvet Essay Award and Elsevier ASMJ Essay Award. He is a reviewer for many reputed journals, including the Indian Journal of Animal Science and The Veterinary Journal. Presently, he is engaged in his doctoral research as a CSIR fellow at the Department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry, G.B.P.U.A. &amp; T.</span>
