Applications and usage of nanobiotechnology in medicine promise to offer the greatest benefits to society in the future. To realize this promise, it is essential to keep abreast of and understand the latest breakthroughs in the field. This volume on “Medical Nanobiotechnology” takes the readers on a journey through the cutting edge research on the most relevant topics of nanodiagnosis and nanotherapeutics. Banking on the expertise of eminent scientists working in this rapidly evolving field, it provides a comprehensive overview of the contemporary advances in the subject. The book is a fair reflection of the practical nanobiological approaches currently employed to address numerous health issues providing the reader with a working knowledge of the science that underpins them. Beginning with introducing the role of nanotechnology in biotechnology, the book effortlessly builds upon several issues like pharmaceutical biotechnology, personalized medicine, stem cell-targeted nanotherapy and tissue-engineered nanoimplants. A logical structure has been adopted in the current book volume, addressing technologies in the most cohesive manner. At some points, the book allows us to delve in deeper nuances, while at others it permits some of the lesser known aspects of this fascinating discipline to be aired anew. The authors and the editors hope that the presented inclusive overviews will help students, researchers and practitioners to retrieve information of the backdrop and applications of this fascinating stream of nanobiotechnology. Let us learn more about it meticulously, and let us see how it will reinforce and transform the science of making lives healthier.
