The literary heritage of Volodymyr Vinnichenko belongs to the gold fund of Ukraine. In particular, he is the author of one of the first utopian novels, "Solar Machine" (written in 1922-1924), which started a new trend in Ukrainian literature. He was one of the most widely read Ukrainian authors of the 1920s.
Ivan Franko and Lesya Ukrainka welcomed the appearance of Vinnychenko's first works.
In stories, Vynnychenko showed great skill — the ability to vividly, freely, excitingly tell and vividly, artistically show characters and actions.
Some of his plays ("Lies", "Black Panther and the White Bear", "The Law", "Sin") gained pan-European popularity and were translated into German, staged in theaters in Germany and other European countries.
The best works of Vinnichenko are marked by great impressionistic skill. The plot, usually banal and uncomplicated, Vynnychenko always sharpens with antitheses and unexpected external effects.
The literary work of Volodymyr Vinnichenko was influenced by the philosophical concepts of Friedrich Nietzsche. Protesting against the filth of his contemporary society, Vynnychenko brings out "positive" reformers who profess the freedom of the individual in relation to the collective, "honesty with oneself", etc.
